Phil picked up a guitar at the age of 8 and it was love at first twang. His guitar goes everywhere with him, even on caravanning holidays.
He is a fan of all things Australian, having lived and worked there about 20 years ago (yes he IS that old even though he doesn’t look it) and in the words of an Aussie folk singer “This guitar is part of me, just like another arm”.
Phil fell in love with Bev (and vice versa which was handy) through the Christian Union at the Middlesex Hospital and they married in 1983. They could never say of their marriage “never a cross word” preferring “never a dull moment”.
For further details ask their St Barnabas youth homegroup, aka Brim, to tell you the full “When Phil met Bev” story.
Phil’s midlife crisis has resulted in him pitching himself against the elements in mountain marathons, fell races and other macho mountain pursuits which also allow him to eat lots of mars bars whilst still remaining at a healthy BMI.
